Since this is my first posting, I thought I would share some ideas of what I plan to write about in this blog. I want to talk about internships – what is an internship and what isn’t, how to find a good one, if you should get credit for the internship, and things you should definitely do – and not do – during an internship.
Follow up:
Some of this is based on my own experience – I had 3 internships before I graduated from John Carroll University, I’ve worked with interns, and now I’m helping connect students and employers for internships/co-ops/practicums – you pick the term. Hopefully my thoughts and opinions will be useful and will help you decide to have an internship. If you think they are not, let me know.
One last thought for today: everyone can have an internship if they want to – it doesn’t matter what your major is, what school you go to, or how old you are. Don’t believe me? Keep reading, and I hope I’ll convince you.
