EIP employers and interns network at summer event
July 23rd, 2010 by SeanMany thanks to our "Entrepreneurial Internship Program" employers and interns, as well as partners from the region's colleges and universities, for making our summer event successful. We also wish to thank MAGNET for hosting us. The event brought employers, interns, and higher education representatives together to network and discuss internships and education in an entrepreneurial setting. Our excellent panel guided these discussions, and we are truly grateful to everyone for their participation and support.
ERC/NOCHE Survey for employers

This survey will help regional employers understand trends regarding the hiring and compensation of new college graduates, specifically regarding issues including recruitment, hiring, training, development, and compensation. NACE position on unpaid internships
July 1st, 2010 by SeanThe National Association of Colleges and Employers has released a position statement on unpaid internships. In this release, they ask the federal government to clarify the rules about unpaid internships. However, they also ask that the government keep in mind that internships, paid or unpaid, can provide meaningful experiences. What is most important, though, is that internships are safe and ethical.
